The third edition has been completely revised to reflect the increasing use of digital techniques in all aspects of television and radio broadcasting. It has been reorganized and some obsolete material removed, while also updating the basic information on traditional analog technologies. New chapters have been added to provide an overview of first principles and current standards in the broadcast industry.
