"Radio Santa Clara, a Catholic radio station in Costa Rica, used the opportunity of its 25th anniversary for an extensive review of its developments as a project committed to the people of San Carlos, the northern region of the country. Supported by ALER, the Latin American Association of Radio Education, and Humberto Vandenbulcke as editor, Radio Santa Clara made the systematisation of their experiences available to a broader public, titled "En la punta de la ola" ["On the crest of the wave"], also providing valuable input for other radio stations, both in and outside of Latin America. After a short introduction of the process, the publication presents the experiences of Radio Santa Clara concerning its institution building, social sustainability, the political role of the station in the region, its impact, and its concept of financial sustainability."
